Live lyrics for any music app on Windows

While music plays, Eflow's closed island shows the line being sung, in time with the song. It works with anything that appears in Windows' media controls, from Spotify to YouTube in your browser.

A live replica with sample content. Click the island to try it yourself.

How it works

  1. 1

Play music in any app that shows up in Windows' media controls.

  2. 2

Eflow looks up synced lyrics for the song, and the closed island shows each line as it is sung.

  3. 3

Open the island for the full player: seek anywhere in the song, pause and play, and choose which speakers or headphones it plays on.

Good to know

  • Lyrics come from LRCLIB, a public lyrics database. Only the song's title and artist are sent: never the audio, and never which app is playing it.

  • Lyrics that are found are cached on your PC, so a song is only looked up once.

  • Lyrics appear when a synced version of the song exists; otherwise the island shows the song's title and artist.

  • Turn lyrics off at Settings → Closed island → Song lyrics, and nothing is sent.

Questions

Does it work with Spotify?

Yes. Spotify, YouTube in your browser, and any app that appears in Windows' media controls.

Does Eflow listen to the audio?

No. It reads the song's title and artist from Windows and looks up lyrics by those alone.

What if a song has no lyrics?

If no synced version is found, the island shows the song's title and artist instead.

Can I control playback from the island?

Yes. Open the island for the player: seek, pause and play, and choose the output device.
